It's bad enough the drownings out here of children in pools, tonight a mother left her 7 month old baby in her van for a hour with the windows up and it was 110 degrees out, that baby baked to death. How can you go in your house and not know where your 7 month old baby is? How can you let an hour go by? It's just been a bad day for me,some of the things I try not to think about rear their ugly heads.Went to see Ryan in jail Sun.,saw several women turned away because they had on sleeveless dresses or blouses, then when it was almost our time to see him they did a head count that takes an hour and a half so we left, saw him yesterday,he's alright.Did I mention Ryan is going to be a father around Nov.18th to a baby girl? My first granddaughter and probably more heartbreak.I've already bought a crib and a carseat and some beautiful outfits.I know this is probably bad,but i hope she takes after me.Orion must, cause a couple of weeks ago he locked himself in the bathroom at daycare and tried to get out the bathroom window, that's my buddy.I've gone out several bathroom windows through the course of my life. That poor baby,I don't think I can sleep.

Now that more facts come out about the baby in the car, maybe I was too harsh. She was a single parent with 5 kids the oldest 10,she's twenty nine, she had her hands full,I'm not God.

I hear about peaople doing that quite often, sctually.
Well, not VERY often, but this may be the 5th or 6th "left baby in hot car" thing I've read.

Most of the time it's regular people who have had their schedules messed-up for some reason, like their spouse usually drops the kid off at daycare but he/she got sick so they had to do it instead and they were going to be late for work and there was a crash on the highway etc etc etc.

I don't mean that it's no big deal, but they're not all monsters and it IS terrible, but not as terrible as beating a kid or forgetting to feed it.

    p.s. 29 & 5 kids?!

PEOPLE DO THAT SHIT BECAUSE THEY'RE GETTING DRUNK OR HIGH OR BOTH -- Period. They never get taken to the hospital & drug tested or breathalyzed afterwards because they've just lost their kid -- the police are afraid to lean on them too hard.

I don't care who usually drops the kids off at the day care center or whatever -- NO ONE in their right mind 'forgets' that they left their kids in the car.

but regular people do indeed do dumb shit like that every day.
Humans are prone to memory lapse all too often. Ever forget to check your blind spot and almost get run off the highway?

It's not that different. If i can forget something i've been doing since i got my very first license, something that could cause me a grisly death in all of 5 seconds if i forget....

My thinking was more like R.C.'s when I first posted this, but the more the facts came out, then I started leaning on the mothers side, but I'm kinda sitting on the fence now.Turns out she has 6 kids all together, your right Whisper and only 29,she's mormon, that explains the kids.I saw where a dentist did this and a prosecution lawyer and they weren't charged, why single out a single poor mother? If she was on drugs R.C.,they arrested her the night this happened and in this state I'm sure they tested her,so like I said I'm on the fence, too early for the lab test to come back in.
