    a friend in the states told me I should try to see it somehow, but the new york times totally panned it.

    he has a big crush on the buffy girl, though.

    I've seen the other three film adaptations of les liaisons dangereuses (roger vadim, milos forman, stephen frears) - it's such a compelling, bitchy story - that I would probably want to see this one out of curiosity, anyway.
