Simply. It is so much better than The Phantom Menace. Lots of action. Girls will like the love story. Lucas didn't need to spend as much time developing characters, so he jumped right into the plot. There are a bunch of parallels with the classic trilogy; certain lines spoken or themes. It's very, very good. And there is one part in the movie that is a surprise. Maybe not on the same level of "I am your father" but it had me saying "Oh shit!" when I saw it. I ended up seeing the Midnite showing, and then again the next day at 4:30. I can't wait to go see it again. LS |

Lost my beer on that one. I hear they're getting John Holmes to play the lead in that one. Hmm, maybe I should rent them all again. I can't even remember which ones I've seen. Same with the Star Treks. I just remember my first movie makeout session was at Star Wars -- her name was Carol. She was a little hottie back in junior high. Using the Force helped me get all the way to 2nd base. Carol had developed nicely by then as I remember. |

I saw it friday night with Elizabeth and my dad. She hated the love story, I agree, it was awkward and badly acted. and there is NO FROLICING IN STAR WARS, thank you. The second half was much better than the first half, but over all, it was more satisfying than episode I, it answered a lot of questions and the street scenes on Coruscant were good. The casting was fantastic for some of the minor characters. Plus, Fuck Jar-Jar. I knew it was all his fault. |

yoda looked like a freaking mosquito in his saber duel. the whole theater was laughing. anikin, big bad voodoo jedi: whines: "it's not fair!" whines: "are you suffering as much as I?" (to which someone in the crowd responds "yesss" and great laughter ensues) if the legacy of the first three movies didn't exist, we wouldn't be seeing this one in theaters. the script is just total ass. B movie in A movie clothing, all the way. 'evolution' with david and orlando was better. |

Obi-Wan was great. The "deathsticks" scene in the pub was lame. When I read the AiCN spoiler, I had assumed that it would be pretty cool. I guess I forgot that Star Wars had to be PG... The clone troopers were good. I often didn't notice that they were totally CG. They were cooler than the standard Stormtroopers. Badass guns, sleeker uniforms, etc. I thought, that despite all the crap, a few great scenes shone through. |
