    sure enough i love a lot of other songs on 'when i was cruel,' but i cannot get over this line:
    'would it kill you to show us a little sweetness...'
    and the way his voice stretches to punch 'tart.' not when he's really punching it, but when he's standard punching it.
    i feel like i'm in church when i listen to elvis costello.
