Leftover meatloaf is the best -- lightly toast some bread, generously slather on Hellman's mayonnaise, some salt & pepper, and bigass hunks of meatloaf. I make a mean meatloaf, using big chunks of onion, along with woostershistershire sauce, ketchup, and the requisite breadcrumbs and eggs. And you bake your potatoes in the oven while cooking the meatloaf. That gives me an idea for dinner. Thanks, Ammo Runner.

I can't stand meatloaf. It is one of the nastiest creations aside from bangors n mash. I haven't had a single one in my life that I found edible. Spunky likes it so I have tried to make it a couple of times and he liked it, and the kids liked it, but I hated it.

I do remember as a kids making "Mr. Snuffalupogus (spelling?)" meatloaf where you covered the meatloaf in mashed potatoes. It was a fun messy thing to do, but it still tasted like shit.

If I had to eat any meatloaf, I would be running for the bathroom, too!

I once ate meatlof at a friends house, and realized halfway through that it was impregnated with olives. I am deathly allergic to olives. I spent the next 3 hours in Good Samaritan hospital where they stuck needles full of adrenaline into my neck to keep my air passages open. That bitch. What the hell was she thinking? Meatloaf is fine, but people think its an invitation to empty their condiment drawer; thinking its creative to mix pickle relish and other inappropriate materials with chop meat. Just thinking about it, I am filled with rage.

Sounds like Ammo Runner was packing a pureed prairie dog.

Did it require an emergency stop along the roadside on your way home?

Thats when you know you have used up one of your colon's nine lives.

By Dougie on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 - 11:26 am:

Allergic to olives? Even olive oil? Damn dude, that's rough.

By eri on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 - 01:50 pm:

It is sad. I love olives, not in meatloaf, but I love olives.

NO! Not olive oil! Olive skins seem to be the culprit. I have no problem with olive oil at all. Black olives are what I am really, REALLY allergic to, but I get effects from the green ones as well. The horror. Every time I get a sandwich from a fast food place like Quizno's, I have to double check to make sure an olive didn't fall into the lettuce tray, and subsequently end up on my sandwich. I didn't learn about my allergy until I was in my early 20's, when i was at a party, and dug into a tray of chips and bean dip. The bean dip wasn't bean dip, but rather ground up black olives. I developed breathing problems within 10 minutes, and broke out in hives that covered every inch of my body, including the bottoms of my feet. Fortunately, I've only experienced this twice in my life, and now you know about both times.
