    because they are playing Jimmy Kimmel show tonight and the outdoor stage is right behind my office bldg bldg. so they just played a couple of songs a couple of times for sound check and they sound really good and i think it's really neat.

    before i knew who it was, either a roadie or the guitarist started playing a near-flawless guitar riff of the first song on Piper that dropped my jaw.

    i was listening to zydeco last night. the dj had some friend of his in the studio who was visiting from rome, though he was american. they didn't explain what he was doing in rome. he had the nasal voice and delivery of mo rocca, but could play a mean harmonica.

    one of the songs they played was called "that butt thang" by horace trahan.

    it was catchy.
