I just had a Census Mapper knock on my door because my house has no number, and she couldn't figure out if someone actually lived here, or what the deal was. I guess the Census games are beginning!

    Anyone else gotten mapped yet?

i live in an apartment that has only been around since 1997. i don't think anybody will be confused about my whereabouts. all the texas census men are probably skulking around mexican-american neighborhoods looking for people to deport. i think the government is simply waiting for me to die.

earlier this month i figured out that the electric company had finally stopped screwing me on my electric bill.

Yes, we had a very nice lady come out with a GPS, and said that she showed that we had a "Unit 1" at our address. I assured her it was a single family home, so she took a GPS reading and went on her way.

if they get past the no trespassing sign and the electronic security sign and then the beware of dog sign, they will be met with gun in hand and escorted to the edge of the property. Does not the paying of taxes ensure quiet enjoyment of one's own property??. fuck them and their census. on google I can count the logs in my woodpile, which surely is an invasion of privacy. I am surprised that the great state government has not included fuel (i.e., woodpile) in the personal property tax assessment. They include chickens.

droopy, government screwing around? Tell me more?

By droopy on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 - 02:19 pm:

the electric company was screwing me. i used to pay what i thought were exorbitant bills every month. i asked the both the electric company and my landlord about it, but both just shrugged their shoulders.

my bills for february, march, and april of '08 were $88.81, $70.23, $48.20 respectively for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath newly built apartment.

for the same period this year they're all in the $24 to $34 range.

i looked back in my billing summaries, and found this statement in the one last october--"good news: txu energy has credited your current invoice with a one-time transmission and distribution service provider (tdsp) credit."

sarah, can you make the wedding?

By sarah on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 - 12:17 am:

i'd love to, but it's highly unlikely. by the time your wedding rolls around, at best i'll have a 2 week old baby, at worst i'll be contemplating a home c-setion as any means to get her out of me.

    due date June 6th.

By Danielssss on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 - 03:51 pm:
